And the Breaks Go On

Steve Silva

Players are on a 10-minute break, and the remaining players all hit the breaks about 40 minutes ago.
Why?
Floor announced we were down to two tables, 20 total players, and we'd play down to 13 players or the end of Level 12, whatever came first.
What had become a mass exodus with 12 players (35 percent of the total remaining field) busting out in barely more than one 50-minute level turned into a long slow grind as not one of the 20 players busted in the next 40 minutes.
Among those still in as we prepare for Level 11 -- blinds of 800/1600 with 200 antes -- are WSOP bracelet winners Brandon Wong and Sean Drake, along with Warlito Merafuentes, Connor Henderson and Fred Coleman ... plus overall chipleader Steve Silva of Turlock at about 162,000
