There With Be Coal, Santa is Eliminated

Santa is Eliminated by Series Champion Todd Machado:

Minutes before the first break of the day, Santa's stack becomes short.  As he looks down at his first card an ace appeared.  Santa decides to move all in, players at the table suddenly perk up as the player to his right moves all in.  2014- 10 Year Anniversary Series Champion Todd Machado calls the all in and get's two other callers.  Machado shows KQ, p2 shows KJ, p3 shows an ace high nut flush draw.  QJ2 on the flop, 10 on the turn gave Santa a broadway draw with his A8.  River however was no gift, as Todd Machado's KQ held, eliminating four players and collects Santa's $250 bounty.

Our Champions

Mai Xiong won the Turlock Poker Room 10th Anniversary Series Main Event, earning $37,800 as she defeated Drew Caseri heads-up in a central California battle. The two Merced residents squared off for some 30 hands before Xiong took down the title. Xiong made it through the 126-player field for the win, and had quite the return on her investment, as she won her way into the Main Event via a $125 satellite.

Todd Machado turned four final tables -- including one win -- into the Turlock Poker Room 10th Anniversary Series Champion Title. For his combined finishes, Machado is going to have a banner with his photo displayed inside the poker room as the Series Champion, he walks away -- As Xiong did -- with a trophy, and he earns one free entry into every TPR tournament from Nov. 1, 2014 - Oct. 31, 2015, an estimated $14,000 value.

Xiong Wins Main Event

Mai Xiong 3-bets out on an A55K board to put Drew Caseri all-in, and Caseri makes the call.

Caseri shows A4 for two pair.
Xiong shows A7 for two pair as well.

The river 7, however, gives Xiong a bigger two pair and the Turlock Poker Room 10th Anniversary Main Event title, the trophy and $37,800 for the win.

Xiong started the day 8th out of the 26 Day 2 players with 108,800 in chips. She methodically moved through the field, coming to the final table with a 357,000 stack. Once play was 3-handed she had Caseri and Sean Drake covered, and shortly thereafter was heads-up for the title.

Mai Xiong - 1st Place - $37,800

Drew Caseri - 2nd Place

On a board of A55K, Drew Caseri bets out to 85,000 and Mai Xiong bets to put Caseri all in.

He calls off his stack and tables A4 for two pair, Xiong shows A7 for two pair and also and looks like a chopped pot.

The 7 on the river, however, gives Xiong a bigger two pair, and Caseri is eliminated in 2nd place

Drew Caseri - 2nd Place, $22,680

Roller Coaster Heads Up

The stacks are about the same now, Mai Xiong chipping Drew Caseri down a bit, Drew taking a big pot from Maxi, then being chipped back down
Mai has about 2.1 million at this point, Drew about 400,000

Merced v. Merced for the Title

With the elimination of Sean Drake, we have moved to heads-up time here between Merced residents Mai Xiong (1,983,000 chips) and Drew Caseri (543,000)

First place is $37,800 and the runner-up today earns $22,680

Mai Xiong

Drew Caseri

Sean Drake - 3rd Place

Sean Drake has moved all in and Mai Xiong is seriously considering making the call, stacking up chips, counting them out, shuffling more than 100,000-worth in her hands and asking ...
"Do you want me to call," and Drake does not reply. The bet is for 391,000.
"I guess I am going to gamble with you," she says and she turns over 6♠6♦, finding herself facing the A♦5♦ of Drake.
The flop of Q♥Q♦2♦ gives Drake a flush draw.
The 4♠ adds a wheel draw.
The 2♠ on the river ends it and Drake is eliminated in 3rd place, while Xiong moves to close to 2 million in chips.
Drake -- 3rd in the 2014 WSOP Monster Stack for $619,000 - cashes here today for $15,120.

Sean Drake - 3rd Place - $15,120

Scotty Nguyen - 4th Place

Just as Live Updates team member Lucky Sheets says Scotty Nguyen has reached all in time, Nguyen moves all in, and gets snap-called by Sean Drake in the Big Blind.
Nguyen tables J♠8♠ and has two overcards to the 77 of Drake
The board runs out A2552 and Drake moves to nearly 1 million chips, while Nguyen is eliminated in 4th place, earning $11,151

Scotty Nguyen - 4th Place - $11,151

Hugo Sanchez - 5th Place

The flop is 4♠4♥6♦ and the action is just starting.
Hugo Sanchez reraises Sean Drake, making it 90,000.
Drake shoves for close to 300,000 and Sanchez calls his stack off, tabling A♣6♣ for top two pair with an Ace kicker.
Drake, however, is holding Q♦Q♠ for the overpair.
There's a 2♥ on the turn and the river Q♥ gives Drake a boat, sending Sanchez out in 5th place for $8,379.

Hugo Sanchez - 5th Place - $8,379

Paul Da Silva - 6th Place

Paul Da Silva became a short stack after running in to Sean Drake's AA right before dinner break, and he moves all in here a few hands after break with KJ, called by the KQ of chipleader Mai Xiong.
The board played out T♣A♦4♥3♥6♠ and Da Silva is out in 6th place, cashing for $6,930.

Paul Da Silva - 6ht Place - $6,930

Dinner Break Chipcounts

Here are official chipcounts as dinner break ends for the 6 remaining players in #tpr10year Main Event

Mai Xiong -- 602,000
Sean Drake -- 550,000
Hugo Sanchez -- 502,000
Drew Caseri -- 356,000
Scotty Nguyen -- 350,000
Paul Da Silva -- 155,000

Brandi Boehme - 7th Place

A short-stacked Brandi Boehme has moved all-in a few times this level and did not draw a call. She gets a bit healthier for a few hands, but then the 23,000-chips-per-orbit knocks her back down.
She moves all in this time and gets a call from Scotty Nguyen.
a WOW goes up as the flop is 9-2-5 for a set for Boehme.
The 3 on the turn has everyone on the rail starting to step back, but there is a J on the river, set over set and Boehme is eliminated in 7th place, cashing for $5,670.

Massive Pot to Drake

We pick up the action on a flop of 5♠2♥3♣ and both Sean Drake and Paul Da Silva going at it.
Drake eventually is all in and Da Silva works and works but can't convince himself Drake has a hand and calls with KJ.
Drake has A♥A♠ and is in shape to double up.
The board runs out 3♠3♥ and Drake gets 184,000 of Da Silva's chips over into his stack, moving him back to almost what he started the final table with.

Steve Silva - 8th Place

Steve Silva moves all in after Sean Drake leads out for 17,000 with blinds at 400/8000. Drake asks for a count and learns Silva has 96,000, slightly less than half of Drake's stack.
Drake makes the call and tables JQ and Silva let out a small groan as he showes33 and chuckles.
The flop is 9♦J♦2♦ giving both players a flush draw, but Drake's Q is bigger than Silva's 3 so Silva needs a LOT of help.
An Ace on the turn does not help and the river iss a blank. Silva is eliminated in 8th place, cashing for $4,410.

Steve Silva - 8th Place - $4,410

David Stubblefield - 9th Place

Sean Drake is all in and David Stubblefield has called, both players pretty close to 110,000 in chips.
Drake shows KK and Stubblefield groans as he turns over 33
The board blanks and Stubblefield is out in 9th place, as his stack is a few thousand shy of Drakes .. he collects $3,465
David Stubblefield - 9th Place - $3,465

9 to the Break

We are on a 10-minute break, staff coloring up the black 100 chips, Paul Da Silva's KK just doubled through the AK of Steve Silva in a 420,000 chip pot a few hands before break.
Mai Xiong and Hug Sanchez are both at or above 500,000 right now as your chipleaders.
Da Silva got his 400k stack back and Silva slipped back to about 140k

Raj Kapoor - 10th Place

Raj Kapoor raises to 16,700 and Mai Xiong makes the call
The flop is 6♠4♦T and Xiong moves all in, with Kapoor calling off his stack
Xiong shows A♦5♦ for top pair and Kapoor has K♦Q♦ for a flush draw ... but Xiong has a bigger flush draw as well
Kapoor leaves in 10th place, earning, $2,835

Raj Kapoor - 10th Place - $2,835
