Series points leader Armando Perez was down to two bets and all in 4-5 times with 6 players left in the $100 Limit Omaha 8 - and only 4 were cashing. He survived each time, with Mike Jobe and others coming over each time to see how well Perez was holding up.
"This is the most fun I've had all week," said Perez. "This is great."
Nabil Esho busted in 6th and the table agreed to take $30 off of the four pay sports so the bubble gets $120 back. This puts Perez in the money, a minimum 38 more points, and an extremely dominant position in the Series Champion race.
At this point, Tim Weimer, Mike Jobe, Ken Kajioka, Damion Underwood, Bradley Link, Jeremy Gates and Gary Grant have to win either tonight or the Main Event AND place in the top 3 in the other tourney to have a chance to overtake Perez.
Aaaaand, Perez bought in to the $115 with $50 Bounties right at its end of registration, just to hendge his position.
