A Day 1-record field turned out @TurlockPoker for the $75,000 Guaranteed $550 Championship Series Main Event with 83 total entries by the time registration closed.
Series Champion leader Armando Perez rushed quickly to the top of the chipcounts, first to 100,000 chips, but just as fast ran into a set, was rivered a few times and saw his entire stack disappear well before dinner break.
Tim Weimer, Ken Kajioka and Mike Jobe, three of the four players who can still overtake Perez for the Series Champion title, all ran solid late in the day today, all bagging six-figure stacks for Sunday's Day 2.
Among those who came out and played but did not advance to Sunday included Sean Drake, Jasthi Kumar, Allen Kwong, Damion Underwood, Todd Machado, Nabil Esho, John Rogers, Leslie Hartman, Mary Garcia, Jerry Utke and Connor Henderson.
