Eric Matulis has some 5-figure-scores in NorCal and northern Nevada the last few years - including a 17th at the WPT at Thunder Valley last year for $13k and a 6th at the WSOP Circuit Lake Tahoe Main Event in 2013 for $24,903.
He's jumped in to the chiplead with 750,000 and has a shot at topping his best-ever cash by $200 with a win today. Matulis knocked out Cameron Bowman, who started the day 2nd in chips, to help build his monster stack.
Over at Table 8 it is Ed Miller who has move to 575,000 and 2nd in chips to Matulis.
