Traveling In

Today's $125 Omaha8 not only drew regulars to Turlock Poker Room, but it also attracted Omaha players from throughout the region to come out any play.

Howard 'Tahoe' Andrew (top photo) and Marcos Stokes (bottom photo) made the trek in to play today.

Tahoe has been one of the top Omaha players in the area for decades. The 82-year-old poker pro from Walnut Creek is the first player to have ever won back-to-back World Series of Poker bracelets when he won on back-to-back days in 1976.

Stokes, from Livermore, is a regular in tournaments at both Bay 101 in San Jose and Thunder Valley just outside Sacramento. That puts Turlock Poker Room right smack in the middle of the tournament touring area for Stokes.
