With one win, a 3rd, a 4th and also a 14th in the Main Event, Rafael Gonzalez has won the 2016 WPTDeepStacks Turlock Player of the Series Title.
Gonzalez is the only player to have cashed in four series events. He was the short stack four-handed in Event 5 when the other three players offered a four-way even chop. He turned down the chop because he wanted to try and earn more Player of the Series points.
Down 8-1 in chips starting heads-up play in Event 5, Gonzalez came back to win, take a big lead in the Player of the Series race, then close things out with his Main Event cash.
