With 21 players remaining in today's $125 Omaha8, only Junior Merafuentes (38.5) has already earned Player of the Series points. This means the remaining 20 players would need to win, also win the $115 Bounty going on right now and do no worse than second in the Main Event to have enough points to pass the 308 of Mike Jobe. That also assumes Jobe does not cash in either today's Bounty or the Main Event.
Jobe controls his own destiny by cashing in both the bounty and Main Event. If he misses, there's 45 players who can overtake him with big finishes in both events.
Armando Perez (186) and Tim Weimer (169) are the closest to Jobe, with the 121 for James Rosenberger also a major factor as well as others in triple digits so far.
