My time 'round these parts only extends back to 2014, so while there were previous Championship Series Main Event champs, the first one I remember is Mai Xiong from 2014.
She's here today, playing Day 1A of the 2017 Main Event, at one of the outer tables.
2015 made the Championship Series Main Event a family affair when her brother, Tou, won the title. He's not here ... yet ... but I'm pretty sure he'll enter the Main by the time registration has closed on Saturday.
