Some weeks the tournaments go your way.
The past 10 Days has been Mike Jobe Week at Turlock Poker Room and Casino, complete with three tournament victories, a second-place finish and the chiplead to begin Day 2 of the Championship Series Main Event.
Day 2, however, did not go as Jobe planned as he went from 253,000 to 0 in 90 minutes of play, out of the Main Event a couple of tables from the money.
His truck was parked outside, ready for his normal Sunday departure to Los Angeles. The plan, however, was not for any of today's drive to take place in daylight.
Jobe received his Series Champion trophy from Tournament Director Adam Sanchez before departing.
Jobe has one complimentary entry in to every Turlock tournament and satellite from 12/1/17 to 11/30/18 for taking home the Series Champion title. His banner is soon to join that of previous champs Todd Machado, Damion Underwood and Armando Perez.
