4th in chips to start the day, Mai Xiong (above) ran in to a world of trouble in the first level of the day, and eventually the balance of her stack shipped to Mark Johnson (below) to end her day shy of the money. Xiong 4-bet Johnson with AK on a A-8-J board and Johnson shoved with 88, drawing a call and a knockout.
A few hands later, Johnson eliminated Roger Bailey to bring the field even closer to being in the money as Level 17 begins.
