We picked up the action on a flop of 4♠K♦3♦ and a whole lot of betting going on. -- Hugo Sanchez had raised preflop to 1,100 and drew calls from Eric Estoque and George Odhiambo, we learned later on
Sanchez led out for 2,200 and drew a call from Estoque, then Odhiambo 3-bet to 6,200. Sanchez calls and Estoque moves all-in for his last 4,550, creating a 36,050 pot.
Odhiambo asks floor if he can raise, and floor correctly rules Estoque's shove was for more than a full bet, and Odhiambo adds an extra 10,000 with his 5-bet. Sanchez quickly calls.
The turn 9♦ draws a bet of 10,000 from Odhiambo and Sanchez snap-shoves for an additional 12,500 more, sending Odhiambo into the tank.
"Oh my, oh my ... wow 12?" he says, "What do you got, man?" as he counts out the 12,500 and sees he still has about 22,000 behind.
"He has two cards, and I have two cards," says Estoque, sweating his all-in play. "What do you have, man?"
Odhiambo tosses out the bet to call and Sanchez quickly shows A♦J♦ for the nut flush and Estoque shows he had it in best --on the flop, that is -- with 44 for middle set. Odhiambo shows K♠9♠ for top two pair and calling for the board to pair his K or 9 to survive -- pairing the 4 would give Estoque quads.
The river 2♣ gave Sanchez the massive 101,050 pot, left Odhiambo with a few more chips than starting stack and sent Estoque (2nd place in last May's WPT Deepstack Main Event here) to the rail.
