LY LEADS 18 MOVING ON TO SUNDAY

Here's the final Day 1A chipcounts for the 18 players advancing to Sunday's Day 2 Final in the Turlock Poker Room 15th Anniversary $550 Main Event.

Two players end up being eliminated on the final hand at Table 6, so the final number advancing from Day 1A today is 18, not the 20 we initially posted.

John LY leads with 269,900 - a stack that was blinded down over the final 40 minutes as he packed up and departed in Level 12.

CHIPLEADER SHUTS IT DOWN EARLY

John Ly has built a massive stack in the last two levels, topping at about 265,000 early in Level 12.

Ly is so comfortable with his 221BB stack that he packed up and left for the night, telling DannyTheTD "See you Sunday," and that he's not worried about being blinded down over he final 30 minutes.

So, the photo you see above is the chipleader, or, well, the chipleader's chips.

ESHO TO 70K

There's an all-in from a short-stacked player at table 9, and Nabil Esho is the only player to look him up.

Challenger - Kd Ts
Esho - Ad Tc

An Ace on the flop puts Esho further ahead. A Queen on the turn gives the challengers four outs to a Jack for Broadway, but the river is a 7 and Esho scores teh elimination.

He moves to 70,000 and a table breaks as the Day 1A field slips to 20 players with 35 minutes remaining in Day 1A play.
